Zain Raees Rehman

Zain is a Trainee Solicitor at Empire Law. Having successfully completed both his Law Degree and the Legal Practice Course, he is currently undertaking his training contract, developing his expertise in criminal defence.

Zain assists on a broad range of criminal matters before both the Magistrates’ Court and the Crown Court. He is involved in every stage of case preparation, including reviewing prosecution evidence, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and supporting the strategic progression of cases from initial instruction through to trial.

Working closely with other solicitors, counsel, clients and third parties, Zain is committed to ensuring that every case is prepared thoroughly and progresses efficiently. His meticulous approach to analysing evidence and managing case files enables him to provide reliable support across complex and sensitive criminal matters.

Before pursuing a legal career, Zain worked in education, where he developed strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills. This experience enables him to explain complex legal issues clearly, build strong relationships with clients, and provide reassurance throughout what can often be a difficult and stressful process.

Zain also spent three years living in Qatar, gaining valuable experience in a diverse, multicultural environment. This has strengthened his ability to communicate effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives.

As part of his professional development, Zain is currently undertaking his Police Station Accreditation, further enhancing his knowledge and practical experience in advising and representing clients at the earliest stages of the criminal justice process.

Known for his approachable manner, attention to detail and commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for clients, Zain continues to develop his practice as he progresses through his training contract.
